On 15 November 2024, the Singapore Organisation of Seamen (SOS) gathered with partners and members in Manila, Philippines for a night of networking, celebration, and gratitude. The event honored the unwavering dedication of Filipino seafarers and the collaborative spirit of SOS partners in enhancing their welfare.
The evening started with a networking session, attended by representatives from shipping companies, manning agents, and partners such as Kaizen Suites and SMS Clinics. Awards were presented to seven partners recognising their contributions to the maritime community.
As the night progressed to the Year-End Part, the vibrant festivities captured the spirit of unity and appreciation. From a generous cheque donation to Asilo de San Vicente de Paul to an electrifying live band performance, guests enjoyed the opportunity to rejoice and recharge. Highlights included a denim contest, an exciting raffle draw featuring tech prizes and a dazzling confetti finale.
With over 400 attendees, including SOS President Mr Kam Soon Huat and General Secretary Mr Daniel Tan, the event underscored SOS’s commitment to fostering community and recognising the invaluable contributions of Filipino seafarers to the global maritime industry.
