Club@52 was aglow in bright lights and colour on Oct 25 as members and their families gathered to celebrate Deepavali together. The evening began with the ceremonial lighting of the ‘Kuthu Vilakku’ by President Kam Soon Huat, Vice President Mohamad Bin Abu Bakar, General Secretary Daniel Tan, and Committee Member Ram Jeet Jadoh S/O Dadhibal. The traditional brass lamp, kindled at the start of auspicious occasions, symbolises the triumph of illumination over darkness.

Brother Mohamad, in his opening address, welcomed everyone. A traditional Indian peacock folk dance followed, setting the convivial tone for the night. Bold, expressive and full of movement. Members also partook in a rangoli activity at each table. The decorative art form provided a creative way to experience a well-known Deepavali custom, adding colour and texture to the evening.
The live band’s mix of classic hits and festive melodies filled the hall, blending into the steady hum of conversation. Their lively tunes kept spirits high, with some members singing along and others dancing to the music. Between sets, a comedy act brought laughter to the room as the performer invited a few members on stage to join him. What started as a light-hearted routine quickly turned into an impromptu dance lesson, drawing cheers from the crowd and adding a distinct spark to the evening.
Outside, the photo booth attracted a steady flow of people with many queuing for photos with colourful props, capturing moments to remember the celebration. The blend of music, humour and shared participation kept the atmosphere lively from start to finish, rounding off another memorable Deepavali gathering at Club@52.
