More than 50 members of the NTUC Women’s Committee undertook a learning journey to
Ho Chi Minh City on Dec 1–3, to deepen their leadership capacity.
Led by Chairperson Ms Eileen Yeo and Director Ms Yeo Wan Ling, the programme included a visit to Banana Leaf Asian Cuisine Restaurant, a niche Indian-Malaysian restaurant in Vietnam. Participants were inspired by its Founder for her boldness and vision in bringing a unique, authentic and high-quality culinary concept to the local market.
Participants then met with the Ho Chi Minh City Labour Federation and Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Union to discuss workplace initiatives supporting female workers and to explore inclusive practices. Learning continued through team-based activities and The Great Debate, which encouraged open exchanges on women leadership, Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests and workplace fairness legislation.

SOS was represented by Sister Shena Foo and Sister Shirley Lai, reflecting the union’s continued commitment to leadership development and inclusive workplaces.
