The Federation of Korean Seafarers’ Union (FKSU), SMOU, and SOS met on Jul 22 at the SMOU office in Wavelink Building to reaffirm their partnership and strengthen cooperation amid evolving challenges in the maritime industry.
During the visit, SOS President Kam Soon Huat, General Secretary Daniel Tan, Executive Secretary Chen Chuanyi, and Industrial Relations Officer Moon Tan joined union counterparts in discussions on training trends and workforce transformation shaped by technology and climate change.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by FKSU President Park Seong-Yong, SMOU General Secretary Mary Liew, and SOS President Kam Soon Huat, symbolising renewed commitment to collaboration and seafarers’ welfare.
