Seacare opens AFresh&Co, charts retail expansion journey

Seacare marked its venture into the retail landscape with the debut of AFresh&Co, a modern retail concept store, among the latest developments under the Seacare Investment Cluster.

The grand opening of AFresh&Co. flagship store (#01-22/30) was held at Thomson Plaza on Feb 2, 2024. It was joined by Seacare directors, group principal officers, SOS office-bearers and EXCO members, shareholders and partners.

In her opening address, Ms Shena Foo, Chairman of Seacare AFresh Pte Ltd, expressed:

“As we celebrate this milestone, we invite you to join in our vision of bringing unparalleled quality and freshness to every home. The combination of our retail, wholesale and modern trade operations under one roof is a step towards redefining consumers’ experience in Singapore.”

AFresh&Co is set to redefine the mini-format supermarket concept with an emphasis on specialty produce such as fresh vegetables and fruits. Its flagship store also features a dedicated section selling imported premium Japanese wagyu, Kurobuta/Shirobuta pork and seafood.

Wholesale and Modern Trade under one roof

What distinguishes AFresh&Co from other retailers is its comprehensive fusion of wholesale and modern trade operations (B2B2C) in its business model.

In addition, its modern trade concept supplies goods to modern trade channels such as hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores – ensuring a wider reach and availability of AFresh&Co products for consumers.

“At AFresh&Co, our modern trade concept ensures product availability and convenience across Singapore. By streamlining our supply chain, we are making the experience more convenient for both retailers and consumers.” said Gregory Tan, business development director, AFresh&Co.

The AFresh&Co flagship at Thomson Plaza is a pivotal step in Seacare’s strategic expansion into the retail sector. The firm plans to launch mini-format supermarkets in the near future as part of its expansion plan into the retail scene.
