The Singapore Organisation of Seamen (SOS) held its first-ever Mental Wellness Seminar at LemonTree Hotel, Mumbai, focusing on the mental health and well-being of seafarers. The seminar provided practical strategies and tools to help participants navigate the challenges of life at sea, fostering resilience and a greater understanding of mental wellness.
The day’s programme featured interactive sessions, expert advice, and engaging discussions tailored to the maritime sector, leaving participants equipped with valuable insights.
The event concluded with a Gala Night of Glamour that united seafarers, shipping representatives, and manning agents. Distinguished guests included representatives from the National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) and the Maritime Union of India (MUI).
Highlights of the evening included dance performances, live music, and a DJ set, alongside a sumptuous Indian feast. A dedicated SOS photo booth captured moments of joy, leaving attendees with treasured keepsakes and new connections.
The seminar and gala reflected SOS’s commitment to supporting the well-being of the seafaring community and fostering a spirit of camaraderie.
