SOS together with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union (SMOU) and the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA), called on ships docked at Singapore ports to sound their horns for 15 seconds at 12pm Singapore local time on Labour Day, 1 May 2020.
The ships sounded their horns as a show of support and appreciation for fellow seafarers, who have been helping to facilitate maritime trade amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
